QUALFICATION DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
- The Renter states that he / she is physically and legally qualified to operate the above-described vehicle.
- Renter states that he/she is between 25 and 65 years of age.
- Renter states that he/she does not have any points on their driving license and holds driving license for 3 or more years from the date of the hire.
- To drive vehicle you must provide at the time of hire, an original full driving license, passport and rental agreement.
USE OF THE VEHICLE
The vehicle hired to the hirer shall be the sole responsibility of the hire for duration of the rental period of the rental agreement contract:
- Only those named on the rental agreement have permission to drive the vehicle
- It is not permitted to use the vehicle to transport goods.
- It is not permitted to use the vehicle to transport any pets/animals.
- It is not permitted to smoke in any of our vehicles.
- It is not permitted to use the vehicle to transport more passengers than law allows.
- It is not permitted to modify the car in anyway, this included removal of any stickers on/in the car.
- The Owner is not responsible for personal belongings being left inside the car during any time of a rental.
- The rented vehicle shall not be used to carry passengers or property for hire.
- The rented vehicle shall not be used to carry passengers other than in the interior or cab of the vehicle.
- The rented vehicle shall not be used to push, propel or tow another vehicle, trailer or any other thing without the written permission of the Owner.
- The rented vehicle shall not be used for any race or in any competition or challenges
- The rented vehicle shall not be used for any illegal purpose.
- The Renter shall not operate the vehicle in a negligent manner, under influence of drugs or alcohol or any other cause which may impair the ability to drive the car in a correct manner.
- The rented vehicle shall not be operated by any other person other than the Renter above without the written permission of the Owner. If Renter allows any other driver under the age of 25 years old or over 65 years old to drive the rented vehicle, the Renter will be fully responsible for all expenses relating to the rental car and any other Vehicle involve in any type of accident.
- The vehicle cannot be taken out of mainland Spain.
- The renter agrees to be fully responsible for the full value of the vehicle in case of a breach any of the paragraphs of the vehicle use.
FEES AND FINES
The Renter hereby agrees that he/she will be liable to cover any fines/charges/speeding tickets that will occur during the renting period plus an additional €25 administration fee.
INSURANCE
The Renter also agrees that personal belongings and other items left in the vehicle at any time are not covered. Collision Damage Waver Insurance is not provided and can be purchased by The Renter separately.
If the renter don’t have Collision Damage Waver he will be responsible for the excess stated in the rental agreement.
OTHER RESTRICTIONS & CHARGES
The renter will be responsible to cover full cost in case of the following:
- Any damage to tyres or wheels are at the expense of the renter
- Do not remove rental agreements or official documents from the vehicle otherwise replacement fee will be charged up to €100
- If the vehicle is not returned in a reasonable condition as it was collected, the renter will be charged for a full valet in the value of up to 100€ and any additional repairs will be charged accordingly.
- Loss of car keys will be charged at 300€. This is not covered by your insurance.
- The renter will be charged for the loss of any tools, spare tyre, emergency kits, first aid boxes.
- If your flight is delayed and you arrive between the hours of 01:00 – 06:00 there will be a €40 charge.
- Car returned on the different time that one stated in the booking for may occur a charge of €20.
- All bookings are subject to €300 deposit which can be paid by card/bank transfer or cash and its fully refundable at the end of the booking.
FUEL
The Renter receives the vehicle with a full tank and is required to return the vehicle with a full tank. If the car is not returned with a full tank, The Renter is responsible for the cost of refueling the car plus an administration fee of 25€. The car must be refueled within 5km of the airport to which it’s being returned. If your rental vehicle is filled with the wrong fuel you will be charged €375 plus the full refueling of the vehicle.

ACCIDENTS
In the event of an accident, you have to notify The Owner immediately on our contact number. You will need to stay with the vehicle at all times.
You must take full details of all parties involved.
Complete the accident form which is provided in the glove box of the vehicle (without completion of this form a claim cannot be made).
Do not admit or accept responsibility for the accident unless you are 100% sure and understand everything that you are signing.
Do not abandon the vehicle, Inform the police immediately of accident details or any injuries, police can be contacted on 112. If you fail to perform any of these steps will lead to your insurance being void leaving you responsible for all damages and repair costs.
CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS
To confirm your booking, you are required to pay a deposit of 25% of the total car hire balance, in case of any cancellations you will be charged the 25%.
If you cancel your booking within 14 days prior to your arrival date you will be charged the full balance amount of your booking.
If you have paid in full for your booking and cancel outside of the days, you will lose 25% of the cost of your booking. The rest of the balance will be held as a credit on your account which you can use against your next booking, we do not offer refunds.
If you wish to shorten your booking you will lose the days you have originally paid for.
Any changes you make to your booking please let us know via email info@saltirecars.com. If you need to cancel your booking you need to contact us via this email address to confirm your cancellation.
You have right to cancel your booking for the full refund within 14 days from the purchase date/booking reservation. You will have to send us an cancelation email to info@saltirecars.com within 14 days from the date of the purchase/booking reservation (regardless if you pay full price or deposit only)
PAYMENTS
You have the option to pay your rent a car balance in full or as a 25% deposit at booking via credit or debit card or a bank transfer.
The price we quote is the price you pay.
Bookings are only confirmed once payment has been taken.
GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS:
Why we need your personal data: In order for us (the company and its’ therapists) to provide safe and relevant treatments, it is necessary for us to collect only relevant personal information.
How do we obtain your personal data: We only hold information about you, which has been voluntarily provided to us by you (The Renter). We ask you to check the details are correct to the best of your knowledge and that you sign the bottom of the consultation form after checking to verify your knowledge and agreement to the data being held.
Data retention: In order to comply with insurance policies and legal procedures, we (The Owner) are required to hold your personal data for a period of 7 years.
Storage and security of your personal data: We will take all appropriate technical and organizational steps to protect the confidentiality, integrity, availability and authenticity of your data.
Who can access your personal data: Only relevant personnel within the company shall have access to your personal data.
Your rights: You have the right to access, amend (if details are incorrect or out of date) or withdraw your personal data if you no longer wish to be a client, however, if you wish to withdraw your details, please make this known in writing.
